Camp Edwards, Mars

July 14, 1943

Dear Nick,

I just got back in camp a few hours ago and back to the old grind and today I am off because my furlough isn’t up till tomorrow and if [I] would have known that I could make it that quick back to camp I could have been home one more day.

I had a very good time at home and everybody at home is well. I got to see Leo B. Ape and a few other boys while I was home.

I got a letter from Anna and she sent me a few pictures of herself and Charles [and] the lobby. Did Pee Wee come to see you? He wrote home for some money and mom sent him some and he said he wanted to go to see you and Anna.

` Well, this is all I can think of just now and I got a lot of mail to answer yet. Answer soon and write a lot. Sending best lucks [and] regards.
