Dear Nick,
I
received your letter that you wrote from home and was glad to hear that
everything was all right except that Mom got her legs burnt. I hope it not too
serious.
Everything is about the same with me so far. Today I am C.Q. and found
time to catch up with some of my mail.
I had a
letter from Pee Wee the same day I got yours and he also wrote to me about him
being up to see you and Anna.
So far I
haven’t heard from Frank for a long time. The last time he wrote to me he
expected a furlough soon but after that he never wrote to me and I don’t know
how he made out.
Did Pop
start to put the shingles on the house yet? What is the matter he don’t work in
the mines, is it because of mom or aren’t the mines working now?
Just now
we are doing field work and we will be off the boats for a few weeks yet.
Well,
this is about all I can think of to write just now. Answer soon. Sending best
Regards and Luck.
So-
Long
George
