Dear Sis & Family-
Your letter
from January 30th arrived two days ago along with one from
Mother and I enjoyed them as usual. That’s the first mail I’ve had in a week. I
don’t know whether they are holding it back at the company or not. So Roy is an algebra expert
is he? I doubt someday he will look back & regret a “meager” education!
Your “Mr. Graham” seems to be quite a man of talents! I see where there was a
considerable storm in Mississippi and Alabama – we have been fortunate to have
had as few out here as we have. I’m still in the same hospital but am being
transferred tomorrow or the next day to a more advanced one for further
diagnosis, before I forget, they don’t know definitely what’s wrong with me. I
feel “perfect” & have almost quit coughing entirely & haven’t had any
fever since I came here (Febuary 7th)
– So maybe the rest is doing me lots of good. No doubt my quitting
smoking helped the cough more than anything else & I hope I can stay quit.
I’m in my room all alone as it gets quite lonesome sometimes but I enjoy the
quiet reading, writing, and “resting”! Have a good life if it doesn’t “kill”
you!! Hope my mail comes there soon-
Love
for all – Russell-
