Dear Mom and Berta!
I’m alive. As well as Vovochka and Zhenja. I went to Yalta. It was not easy, but still. I’m working now. Zhenja is working too. We have an apartment. It’s two rooms. It needs some work on it, but we can still live there. I feel good now. We are at the old place again. I’m very glad we are not in Moscow now. We’ve got some difficulties with food. But I’m working in the little garden. There are tomatoes and cabbage. You can’t even picture what had been done by the Nazis. They killed every single Jew, destroyed all beautiful places…. Everything that’s written in the newspapers is true. Yalta is not as beautiful as it used to be. How is Berta? Did she go to Moscow? I’m upset because I didn’t see her last time. Write about yourself. Nothing is from Petja.
My address: Yalta, Zarechnaya street.
Don’t forget to write me. I’m busy now. I’m going to write a good letter soon.
