Dear Anna,
Received your most welcomed letter and I was glad to hear from you and the rest of your family.
I took
another trip to
I [am] very happy to know that you feel the way you do about me and I only hope that some day our dreams will come true.
I certainly get quite a kick out of the clippings you send me they sure are cute and they are pretty close to the real thing in Army life. I sincerely hope that your mother is feeling better than she has been feeling and I hope she is taking it easy and not trying to so to much and tell her I am always thinking of her and I want her to take good care of herself.
Sometimes I do gaze up to the moon in the evening and wonder and think just what the future has in store for us and just how everything will turn out at the end of the road.
I can’t tell you very much about army life except they see that we keep busy every minute of the day. I have a very good looking captain and if I could only manage to get a picture of him I would like you to see it. I am sure you would fall for him in a big way.
We have about the cutest outfit in the army it reminds me of a movie I once saw called The Fighting 69th as there are plenty of New Yorkers in our outfit.
The other night I went to the U.S.O near the camp and they had a girl who sang for us and I could almost swear it was your Anna. She seemed to resemble her so closely, she was dressed in [a] white evening gown and sure did look pretty.
I guess this is about all I can think of to say except that I am always thinking of you and I hope we will be together again soon.
Lots of love to you and give my regards to everybody.
Always yours
Tony
