My Dearest Anna,

Received your most welcomed letter and I am very happy to hear that you like my letters but why do you have to cry over these after all my Sweet if you have to cry wait until you get here and then cry all want in my arms Sweetheart.

I am very sorry to hear that you are having so much trouble over your Doctors. I am sure you all have done everything that was possible to do for your mother.

In regards to the phone call you received, I certainly don’t understand why people have to haunt me after all if there is anything they want to do or say why don’t they come out in the open instead of beating around the bush. I think I have well paid for my past mistakes and I only hope that if we have another war some of these that have nothing to do but go around bothering people will get a taste of the same medicine I go and maybe if they come out of it alive they will have learned to mind their own business. I can take a lot and I can overlook a lot but I very seldom forget. Maybe a lot of people think I am running away. What do you think?

I had an opportunity to visit the inside of the new Matson liner, (The Lurline) it certainly is beautiful inside and everything is modern and up to date and sure would be nice if you could come on this ship I am sure you would have a very comfortable and pleasant trip and it comes to Honolulu and docks about 4 blocks from where I am working. I think you have to go to San Francisco to get here. However if you wanted to come this way I will get more details about the ship when you are ready to come, which I hope will be soon my Darling.

I received a letter from Rosalie and I sure was glad to hear that she liked the gift I sent her and I just finished writing a letter to Rosalie and she is suppose to give you a bi hug and kiss for me Sweetheart.

Well my Sweet this has been another beautiful day here and I have been listening to the Yankee Ball game on the radio. But if you were here what do you suppose we would be doing that would be a tough answer to get. Hows about it my Darling?

They sure go in for the new looks fashions here. How about you are you in the new look parade too.

I want you to make yourself evening gown that will make people’s eyes pop out of their heads. How about a creation like this – a white gown covered with small silver stars not too many stars about 6 inches or 12 inches apart and scattered all over the gown sleeveless and a star effect open neck trimmed in gold and separate waist sash of about 4 inches wide with narrow blue and red strips running horizontal on the sash and overhanging at one side. How about this My Sweet?
