Dear Dot and Dana,
Just got back from chow, I managed to get filled up but it wasn’t so hot, another fish day.
It is god awful hot down here today, so in my tent I had to get out in the shade to write you.
I didn’t get a letter this noon so will probably get one tonight.
I went out to sea yesterday all day and didn’t get in till twelve o’clock last night so I didn’t have time to write you. Haven’t got much time this noon but will manage to write a short letter before muster.
I went to recreation class this morning and this afternoon we have physical training. This is our last class of Physical training. They are going to take us out one quarter of a mile in the water and dump us overboard and we have to swim ashore with our clothes and life jacket on. I dread it but I guess if the others can do it I can.
I have got three more days out to sea. Week from tomorrow we give up our boats and anytime after that we are squaled [scheduled] to leave here. But nobody knows what day. I have no way to let you know. So don’t worry about it. Let’s just hope I get a leave.
Well Dot, this is all I have time for today.
Love and Kisses,
Beecher
