Dear Dot and Dana,

I received a letter from you yesterday and I was awful glad to hear from you once more.

I just came from dinner. They feed [us] swell here, it was just like a Christmas dinner turkey, dressing, gravy, sweet potatoes, strawberries, had rolls and a whole pasture of green stuff. It’s no wonder I am gaining weight. But don’t think for a minute I have been fed like that all the time. Honest Dot, I have gone to bed hungry a good many nights abroad ship. We just couldn’t get the right food. I’ll tell you all about everything when I get home. My back is a little better, but is a long way from being healed.

No I don’t think there is much of a chance of them discharging me. Although there is a slim chance but we will have to wait and see what happens.

I should be home the last of June or the first of July and that will be pretty good, it will be nice and warm.

They have a movie here every day and this afternoon they are having a show of some kind for us. Hope it will be good.

I hope you or Dana don’t get a cold or something after sitting out in the rain so long the other night.

Take good care of yourself for me.

                                                Love and Kisses,

                                                            Beecher.
