England
Dear Mary and all:
Received your v-letter today and very glad to hear from you. I am still here in England and am well and getting along fine. Hope this finds all of you well and ok. Sorry to hear it’s so dry over there this summer. It’s just the opposite over here as it rains almost everyday. Hasn’t missed many all summer. Yesterday we played at an air field and I spent a very enjoyable day. I went up in a “Liberator” plane and I got a big kick out of it. The English landscape really is pretty from the air as everything is so very green over here. I was up for over two hours and really covered some territory in that time. Was out over the channel and the water was real pretty from the air. We did a lot of diving and bombing and at times the going was tough but I enjoyed every minute of it and didn’t get sick either. Well as space is gone I will close for this time.
Love to all
Roland
