Dear Mary and all:
I received
your V-letter last week and was very glad to hear from you. I have been kept very busy these last few
days so this is the first chance I’ve had to answer. I’m glad to hear that Russell had good luck
hunting, and I would have liked very much to have been able to go with
him. Thanks a lot for asking him to
clean my gun and if anytime he would like to use it he is welcome to. Well the Christmas season is about over but
to me it doesn’t seem like Christmas at all.
If it had not been for the parties we gave for the kiddies I don’t
believe I would have realized it was the Christmas season. We had a very good dinner and I had plenty of
turkey. I was able to have a whole leg
for a change. I guess you had a big
dinner. Well space is gone so I’ll close
for this time.
Love
to all
Roland
