Dear Mary and all,

Received your v-letter of the 25th today and very glad to hear from you I’m still here in England, well and getting along fine. Hope this finds all in the best of health. By the way you write Guy must have really grown and I bet I would hardly recognize him now. Glad to know he is getting along so good and bet the farm is doing him good. You darn right I would like to have a bottle of beer as this stuff they call beer over here is really terrible and sad. Hope I do get home for some of those chickens but I have my doubts about that now, I’ve been away for a long time and I’m plenty anxious to get back. I get plenty lonesome at times but try to make the best of it and keep my chin up. Will have to close for this time.

Love to all

Roland.
