France
Dear Mary and all,
Received a v-letter from you yesterday and enjoyed it a lot. I’m still here in France well and getting along fine and hope this finds all of your house in the pink. Have not as yet received the package you wrote about but hope it gets here soon. Seems it takes them a long time to get here now. I went to church this morning but so did everyone else as we were ordered to go. I’ve been every Sunday since I’ve been in France but I don’t like to go when I’m forced as that don’t do much good. We were also ordered to write a letter today and when we get such orders I sometimes wonder what the hell we are fighting for anyway. Just don’t make sense to me. Will close for this time but will write more later.
Love,
Roland
