Dear Mary and all,
Haven’t been about to write you often lately as I haven’t had the opportunity to do so but will try to let you know a little news now. I’ve been very busy these last few weeks and quite a lot has happened during that time. I’m no longer in France but am now somewhere in Holland and when I say somewhere I’m serious as sometimes I don’t know where I am myself. At present we are stationed in a large school and it’s the first I’ve had a roof over my head since leaving England but I don’t guess it will last long. I even was able to sleep with my clothes off and that is something rare for us. Have quite a few buzz bombs and planes over but being where we are we expect that. Some have come darn close too. Had a glimpse of Paris and think it a wonderful place. Would like to spend some time there but don’t guess I’ll get that chance for a while. They even had street lights and no blackouts. Something I haven’t seen for over two years.
Continued.
