Dear Mary and all:
Received this V letter from you and very glad to hear everyone at your house is fine and dandy. I’m well and doing ok so don’t worry about me. Just returned from a trip to Paris which took me through four different countries in one day and when I was in Germany, Holland, Belgium, and France. Paris is a very beautiful city and has some wonderful sights to offer. Due to the lack of time I didn’t get a chance to see all of them but I did see the most interesting such as Notre Dame, and de Vaughn and Eiffel tower and many others. The war didn’t touch Paris and you hardly know there is a war which there as everything is just about normal as blackouts or anything. Nightlife is everything you’ve heard about it and the women are very beautiful. Drinks are plentiful and the night effects are nice. Stayed in a swell hotel and really had a swell time. Well close for now.
Love to all,
Roland
