Dear Folks:

Please excuse the outdated stationary. It is the only thing I can find right at this time – and I want to make the early mail in the morning.

These are some snaps we took in Santa Monica on our trip to town. You can see some ocean, a palm tree and even a snap of my sleeping log. It is aiming on the line, folded in half. We zip the two sides together, put the blanket inside and crawl in. Just thought you might like to see what it looked like.

Your flashlight, candles, soap, socks and shoe polish (?) _____ in good shape. Say, I forgot to tell you, we don’t shine our shoes out here!
