Hello Tom:

Congratulations to Estelle and your self on your little son. Let me tell you I was sure happy that your first child was a boy. That is really something.

The news came to me yesterday by means of a telegram – I had been waiting anxiously all week for word about the big event. When I opened it up and read the news everybody in shouting distance knew that I had a little nephew. You sure are a lucky man, a wife and now a son.

Tom, I’ll close this little note now and catch the morning mail. Let me again congratulate you and wish you good luck. Let’s hope this war ends soon and you and your family can start living a normal life.
