Somewhere in New England

Dear Folks:

Hello from your wandering boy once more. We have had a change in station which accounts for my failure to write.

There isn’t much news I can tell you and I know you will understand. I am feeling very well and am quite used to all this moving around.

In your last letter to me- that is the one that last reached me- you told me about Bill Walton calling on you. He is a swell fellow and it was nice of him to drop around. He was lucky to get a furlough because it is over a year since I was home. You remember he went bowling with me just a day before I left for Fort Dix. How did he look anyhow? I suppose he is just the same as he always was.

I haven’t heard from Charlie in a few weeks. I suppose he is on his way and will write to me as soon as he gets settled. I will keep writing to him anyway as he is more likely receiving incoming mail.

Has Tom boon home lately? Give him my regards when you see him and tell him to take good care of himself.

Well it is getting pretty late now so I think I will crawl into my sleeping bag. Take good care of yourself and I will do the same. Goodby for now.

P.S. I heard the “Hit Parade” on the radio tonight and it sounded pretty good. It is the first time I listened to it in quite in some time. I also endured a nice hot shower which made me feel quite good. (Please excuse the blot, I put too much ink in my pen).
