Dear Grandma, Grandpa, and Family,
Well here I am again and I bet you all think that I stopped writing to you. I know well I haven’t, it’s just that I haven’t had the time to write anymore, even my mother. I’m fourteen letters behind now and I don’t know how I’ll manage to answer all of them. Everything has been fine with me and the weather is swell over here. I’ve been to the beach a few times getting gravel and I was almost tempted to take a little dip but that water is a little too cold yet; You may not believe this but this is the truth. I got three packages yesterday that was sent January 5. Now that is why I told you not to send me any thing cause it takes so darn long to get here and at the rate things are going over here now why it shouldn’t be so very long before it ends. I think I wrote and told you that I received the pictures you sent to me and once again I want to thank you for them. How did all of you spend Easter as for me it was the same as any other day in the army, work as usual. Although I did take a bunch of fellows up the mountain to church and it was very pretty going up there. Too well you know how spring is with all the trees and flowers, sure was pretty though. I’m glad all of you liked the picture I sent. Maybe it won’t be very long before I’ll see all of you and show you some good pictures that I have in my album. Glo asked why I haven’t been writing to you. See I have today off and I will try to write as many letters as I possibly can. By the way if you want me to send you a copy of the Stars and Stripes paper, please let me know in your next letter and I will. But I personally think by the next time I hear from you this mess will be all over, cause the way things are going we expect it to end any day now. I hope we come home from here though for a little while anyway cause its been 20 months now since I’ve seen the old place. We’ve been having personal inspections now on Saturday and so far it’s been pretty good. Well I guess this will be all for the present and I will try to write real soon again. I do hope that all is well at home and all of you are in the best of health. Say hello to everyone for me and I hope to see all of you real soon. I’m ok, so don’t worry. I send all of you my love.
