Sweetheart—

I received your card and letter as well as a card from Walker and a letter from Mom.  They were all really welcome.  I sure hope that I can see those pictures from the party.  Go light on sending me food as I will have no place to store it.  Of course some packs of gum or a few bars of candies are O.K. but not too large for a box.

How do you like the new stationery, the chief brought it last night + sold it to those that wanted it.  Today we all got those nice breezee air cooled haircuts + boy do some of the boys look pip.  He didn’t take anymore off of the top but put the chopper on the sides + back.

I talked to the chief + told him of my previous work and he told me he would make an effort to aid me as much as possible.  He also said when I was interviewed at the main office, as all are in their first few weeks, [that] they would find a place for me.

Incidentally the meals up here are good in fact you get too [edited for content] much to eat.

I’m glad you were occupied over the week-end.  The time is now starting to go a little faster now because we are on more of a routine.

I forgot to tell you we have a very nice chief.  If the “company” will only put their nose to the grindstone I feel that we would receive an “E” rating.

Tell Mrs. Murphy I said hello again and tell her I miss her [edited for content].

                                                            I’m now signing off,

                                                                        With all my love,

                                                                                    Johnny.

I liked your Kiss.
