Darling,
Well Baby I was unable to sleep a bit last nite because of the heat mosquitoes and just “cause” I’m in India I guess so as soon as the cooks started the light plant going and the lights came on in the office I sat down to write to you. Try to grab every opportunity I get to write to you Hon. If the letter seems a little incoherent put it down to tiredness.
Soon as it is light enough outside intend to go over and have a nice cold shower and shave and put on some clean dry clothes to replace these perspiration soaked ones. Then I think I might manage to get by another day. Love to see the days roll by as each one completed shortened that period we must be apart.
Darling have I mentioned before the fact that I am attempting to draw up some plans for a home of our own. My efforts being unschooled it is rather a slow process but if I could reproduce on paper that which I visualize I venture to say, with the changes you necessarily and rightly will make, we might have something. Quite a while ago, on the boat in fact I made up some rough sketches and sent them to you. Altho you haven’t mentioned them I hope you received them as there was one n particular I thought was pretty good. Who knows sweetheart maybe we will discard mechanical engineering and take up architectural for a living. I enjoy it anyway. However perhaps it is just because I am working on a home for us. Should I say the twins and us?
Darling in your 185th letter you delivered me a short lecture. I would like to say I thought it excellent and greatly appreciate it. Would also like to say that what you suggested is exactly what I have been doing as it also occurred to be the just the proper procedure to keep a possibly errant husband on the right track. Thank you Hon and don’t ever be afraid that one of your lectures might be out of step. I love you!
This is all for now so give my love to our family, the Goodwins.
All my love,
