My Darling,
Been fairly cool today with a sprinkling of rain every now and then. For some reason I felt pretty good when I got up this morn. After having a good cup of coffee I came back and wrote a letter to Mom before going to work. Wish I could feel like that all the time.
Here is the small picture I mentioned in my letter yesterday. Perhaps I shall have another one of these days. O.K.
Now that I have sent you the pictures I can tell you how I solved the problem of keeping a picture of you, before me. Perhaps you won’t recall but you once sent me a picture of you sitting by the side of your garage, on the arm of a chair. You were wearing the jacket I sent home to you I had a 9 ¾” x 11 ½” colored enlargement from it. It is by far not the best picture I have of you, but the photographer and the entire office thought it the most suitable pose. I wish now I had stick to my own choice as I don’t think this one does you justice. However Ghose did his best and it is better than any other enlargement he has made. Perhaps after this next payday I’ll have another made.
Am having a frame made for it in the carpenter shop and intend to hang it on the wall in front of my desk where it now resides. I love you dearly Hon and it is a great comfort to me. As I write to you each day I look up at you countless times. That helps me to think of things to say. Also, when I am sitting here trying to figure something out I often look up to you for guidance. Never fail to say good-morning darling when I first come in and goodnight just before I retire. Some would think me silly no doubt but to me it is natural and gives me much enjoyment and a feeling of hearing you here with me. I am not ashamed. I know you understand. Thus, Sweetheart, my problem is solved. If only that could solve them all as nicely and completely.
All my love,
P.S. Just happened to think Hon as Ghose is colorblind he made your jacket purple instead of green. I’m sorry but didn’t know about him till he had completed the picture.
