Dear Mom & Dad,

Wow! But San Diego is a big place. We got into Camp Elliot last night. We didn’t do anything today much. We were all given weekend liberty but I guess I will go back to camp tonight. Down here the Y.M.C.A. is bigger than the Robert E Lee Hotel. I have been in here all night and already have gone to more things than there is all over Lexington and it hasn’t cost a thing. Now I am down in the music listening to some of the boys play different instruments that they have here. They have practically everything. I’ll stop now, but will write you tomorrow sometime and give you my address.
