Dear Mom & Dad,

            I have been pretty busy lately and haven’t had much time to write but everything is pretty secure now. When I wrote you on the ship I couldn’t tell you where I was going but I can now. I am at the Palau and have been here since the first day. I drove Rusty’s tank. You should have seen me today. We found an old Jap bicycle and rode all over the place. The only thing wrong with it was that the tires were flat and it was kinda bumpy.

            Just think in 4 more days I will be 19 and what a place to spend it at. Palau.
