Dear Mom
Just received your nice long letter a few minutes ago. Had one from Aunt Kate yesterday and an Alumni Bulletin from the University of Richmond It had a lot about all the fellows I went to school with. Carlson Thomas is a co-pilot for a General on the west coast He worked at the beach as Cabana boy once Most of the fellows who got in early and got a break are really going places
About the allotment They are taking the money from my pay so you should fill out those forms and send them back as soon as possible no matter how difficult they may seem Get Ben to help you if you need it I have heard from the War Dept. about it I inquired about it and the fellow at headquarters said they would write Washington about it. The bonds will be taken out for May.
Heard form Bobbie Gregory today a nice long letter She told be all bout Ten Nights seems theyre going strong
I havent heard form Gene From what you said I guess hes in command of an LCT. I will write him at the new address
About my insurance I fixed it so it could be paid out of the premium but it might be better to pay it directly If you can get that income tax business straight maybe you could pay it with that.
Hope you get all my letters Ive written quite often since we arrived I really watch for the mail here Its out one connection with the States and from here it looks good over there
Hope Ginny gets O.K. Today is the day she was to be operated on I really do think she needed the operation It may do her a world of good I hope so-
Ill write Aunt Kate Aunt Hettie and the rest of the folks as soon as I get a chance
Dont forget that package of candy Its the one thing I really miss here I have cigarettes etc but do send a box of candy Sometimes that will keep pretty well and lasts a long time
Love to all Ill write again soon
Your son
