Dear Ginny-

Well I hear that you too have been in the “Theatre of Operations” only in a different sort of way-hope you are feeling ok by now-Now that you have a little time on your hands how’s about dropping your brother a line once in a while-

Mammy writes that Gus is back in the states-well after sweating it out for two years he deserves to get back. Washington D.C is a swell post-

What do you hear from Brother Boone these days- Has he come by to hold your hand?- If not I think he should- Gee remember about 8 years ago this summer- We were gadding about Fluvanna to dances and Juces Lake and parties and such-who would have thought we’d be so fart apart now-by the way do you ever hear from Ad&Alms-and what are they doing to keep from being bored-

England is still England-not a very good imitation of the dear old U.S but not too bad-I would say offhand that it is nicer to visit than to remain-hope I get to see some more of the world before it’s all over. We were issued our E.T.O service ribbons today-it gives that added touch that used to be supplied by the Paisley necktie-

Heard from Gene today-it’s going to be hard for us to get together but we’re still trying-

Write soon chum-Hope you’ll be up and around in a very short time-

                                                                                                                        Love-

                                                                                                                                    Jack-
