Tuesday June 13^th

Dear Mom—

My K.P. is over now so I have a few spare moments to dash off a note—I had three days of it and that’s enough for anyone. Got all my clothes washed up tonight and I’m all set once more—I’ll be Charge of Quarters tomorrow night so I’ll have time to write a long letter—I’ll have the next day off and perhaps I’ll get a chance to go to Birmingham and get a few souvenirs—

Haven’t heard from Gene since the last letter (the only letter) I did get one he sent May 1^st when he thought I was still in the states—I imagine he was in on the invasion—Hope he is ok—I guess he is for he knows how to take care of himself—

Hope Ginnie is on the way to recovery—It’s been almost a month now hasn’t it—

Had a couple of letter from Anne—Hope you both will keep them coming—

Let me know when you get the $20 I sent—
