Dear Mom
I have a few minutes now to write a few lives the last few days have been busy ones for me I should say nights as I am on the night shift. I like the work I do for it makes me feel I can do a little to help those that are suffering We treat all wounded alike American or German it seems peculiar in a way but that is the law of man and of God somehow I feel that I have been drawn closer to God in these last few days than ever before We had a service a few minutes ago and it does a lot of good to gather together for worship
Our mail is
slow again and I havent heard from you for several days I hope some mail
will come in tonight I did receive two letters about four days ago I also
heard from Guthrie who is a Lt. commander now- He likes his post in
I hooked up my radio and we have been getting the news constantly. The reception is very good The battle are going well for us and the Russians are advancing at a rapid pace at every little bit of good news our hearts leap up - for it means one step closer to victory and home
I find my French a little useful now and Im picking up a little German
I hope Ginny is all well now I think of her often while handling casualties that have had operations I also think often of Henry Fennell and Harriett Holland when I see the good work our doctors are doing
Im going to drop Anne a line now as she says it means so much for her to hear from me Hope you are all well Ill write again as soon as I can
So long for now
Love
Jack
P.S. I sent a money order for $30.00 the other day hope you receive it OK.
