Dear Ginny-

It’s been quite a while since I’ve had a chance to write you or mom – We’re very busy now and I have very few minutes for correspondence I heard from Gene several days ago and am answering his letter now – Glad to hear he is o.k. Hope that you are o.k. too by now and the operation was a complete success – I’ve seen so many of then here it’s second nature to me now-

Just for your benefit I am raising a mustache. Maybe you remember I said that if I ever got out in the wilderness where no on would see me for that (middle stage). Well this is about as deep in the wilderness as I care to get – I’m going to get a picture taken and send it to you and then as the “Jerry” says “Kaput” – Cut it off-

It’s getting dark now and I’ll have to stop – write soon –
