Dear Mom –

I just wanted to let you know that I am ok – we’ve been very busy lately and I have had very little things to write – I’m working the day shift now and every thing is going along ok.

I heard from Gene the other day and was glad to know he was ok. Also heard from Edna, the folks at the office, and a couple of girls I know.

Things are moving fast over here you know and it’s in every man ‘s prayer that some morning we’ll wake up to find it’s all over.

I have not yet received the packages you sent me or the ones from Anne either. They’re doing the best they can with the mail though. I guess it will come in time.

I’ll write as often as I can but please forgive me if I don’t write as often or as much as I have before. Keep your letters coming.
