Dear Mom-
Another day had come and gone- and we’re one day closer to victory. I’m writing this tonight Sept. 30TH but as it will not be censored and mailed until tomorrow- so I’ve dated it the first. I usually do this.
I received my ballot to vote today and I’ll mail it tomorrow if I can have the Affidavit signed. After so much discussion about voting they seem to be handling it very well. It’s a very simple ballot and simple system.
I still have had no word at all from Gene. I don’t know why our mail doesn’t get there very well or if it’s that he just hasn’t had the time to write. I do wish I could hear from him from time to time though. There has been quite a bit of sea action going on lately, new invasions and so on and I wonder if he has been in any of it.
Tell Jenny to drop a line sometime. I like to hear from her. Had a letter from Bobbie Gregory the other day, and she said “Ten Nights” was being revised again. Guess that play will never die.
I’ll write again when I have a moment.
Love,
Jack
