Dear Mom –

Just a line or so to tell you know but I’m ok and everything is going along swell – Had a letter yesterday from Marjorie Pearce who used to work with me at the SSB – she joined the Red Cross you know and is now in England.

I’ve seen a couple of movies since I wrote last – “Up in Mabel’s Room” + “Stand up and Cheer” – Both we’re quite good – This rest period is a good thing – I’m getting a chance to read and write some – and plenty of time for the GI’s favorite pastime “Sleep” –

Six or seven packages on the way sounds like sweet music to my ears – Of course we get plenty treat but it’ always nice to have a little snack of candy and such – Something very interesting just happened – Remind me to tell you when I get home –

So long for now – Will write again soon.

Love

Jack

P.S. Happened to meet Paul Noblett who used to room at Mrs. Perrius when I was a freshman in college.  He’s in a field Hospital too –

P.S. Have been given the good conduct ribbon for being a good boy for a year – Ain’t you proud of your child?
