Dear Brother
Steve:
Well how is my
very good brother today. You’re in the very best of health I hope handsome. As
for us here at home, well we are all okay. It continues to be cold here today
and foggy.
Sooty and I went up to the Aroade theater tonight and we saw a play
called, “Laura” with Dana Andrews and Gene Tierney. It was pretty good. I hope that you saw
some good plays lately. We also saw a 3 stooges comedy. There was also News and
it showed Italy and lots of snow.
We got three letters from our Paul today Steve and of course we were very
happy to get them. They were swell letters. We got a letter from you yesterday
which was very good. You both sure can write good letters. The letters we got
from Paul today were dated January 6, 7, and 10. Here is some news Steve on
January 7th, Ukrainian Christmas Paul was promoted to a Staff
Sergeant. He was sure happy about it in his letter. We were also happy to hear
about it. Mom and all of us are very proud of both of you Steve. We pray
everyday for this war to be won soon and we will all be together again soon.
Keep on smiling like always Steve. If there is anything that you would like us
to send you will please tell us okay Steve. We are very happy to send you
packages.
Well Sarge I guess that I will have to close for today. God bless you
Steve and the very best of luck from all of us. Please take very good care of
yourself. Love and kisses, your brother,
Johnny.
