Hello Dot,

            I got here OK. We are still in the same place, so [I will] write here. It is hot as hell. I haven’t much time to write, so I will make it short. We go on a six day problem, so won’t be able to write again for a week or so. But you write, [and] I will get the letters, but no time to write.

            Tell the kids hello, also Gords. You kids were swell, [and I] won’t forget it. I had a good time, but it will be tough until I get used to the damn heat again. All that damn beer is sweating out already. HAHA. [It] took me four days to make the trip down here. So didn’t get much sleep. Well kids got to get my stuff together for tonight, so [I] will sign off.
