Hope this finds you all well.
Bet it’s
getting nice and warm up in good old
Dot I am writing as often as I can. We are damn busy since we got over here. So if you don’t get a letter to often don’t worry. I write every chance I get. I received the Boxes all O.K. so far. But don’t worry, its not spoiled a bit. The candy doesn’t spoil so far.
The boys as well as myself want me to thank you. By the way give Charles my best. Better say hello to Auntry, also Isabella. Glad the kids got a kick out of the French money. Tell little Gordie will send him one soon for his bank.
About the sheets those people wear. The army issued mattress covers. The boys were selling them for ten bucks for one. Ha. But they check them too close now. Haha. Think they must wear them for Sunday. Haha. That’s the day they dress in white.
About that vail stuff don’t think I want to find out. Haha. The old man has a damn big knife under that sheet. The gals walk by you. All you can see is one eye. Haha. Well Kid getting a new set of teeth. Haha.
About that walking in stuff. Will make it in about two years or so now. Haha. Don’t worry Dot expect to eat XMAS dinner at home. So get everything ready, I will be there.
Say hello to old Sis also my little letter girl Shirley. Tell them both I love them. Sure would like to see that bad boy of mine. The girls say he doesn’t behave so good. Haha. Got a kick out of that picture you talk to him from behind. Think he is wise to you though. He showed you he can fool you too. Haha. Tell the little snapper his old uncle Jimmie loves him.
Glad Sis is looking so good. Dirty Gerty will get mocked on that skinney fonney of hers. She better lay off that kid or the charley will boil over. They say its on the ball that candy. Haha. The squad divide every box we get on the eats. So keep up the good work. The last box was dated that 12 of Feb.
Dot hope to hell you start to use my system pretty damn soon. I got eight damn cartons of cigs. They get all smashed up in my bag. Too many at one time so hope you hold them back a little. I will write to you then you send them as I ask for them. Have them leave them with you. But send candy or cookies can sure use them.
Dot send candles, I can write more if I had them.
Hope old Vin makes out ok. But don’t say anything one way or the other. That way if they should go back together. Well-Hope to hell this set fits OK. The last ones were like an old rust gate. They were mostly up and downs. But think this set will be OK.
Glad you like that husband I got you. You kids sure get along swell. Guess all the girls did OK by husbands. My old woman will be left OK too. That’s in case any thing happens to me. So you no me I don’t worry about a damn thing. Haha. But hope to eat XMAS dinner at home.
