Hello Handsome!!!
I was awfully glad to hear from you. I thought you were mad at me because I ran out that Sunday night and left you and Frank alone. Which I shouldn’t have done, but definitely shouldn’t have. You know what you did?!? When you went out you locked the door and when the lady upstairs came home she couldn’t get in the house so she had to go and get a man to climb in our living room window to unlock the door for her. Just look at what you caused. You know, somehow I feel for you, but I just can’t reach you. Unquote.
You know, I really had a lot of fun with you when you were home too. I would have liked to have gone out with you again too, but as you say, things are tough all over. But I will say I had a swell time that one night, and I wouldn’t mind having it over again. I wish we could have said goodbye much longer too. Gee………xxx. You’re cute, Marine!! Thanks a lot for the swell time and everything.
Boy, you sure looked swell, and that uniform is tops.
Boy, I went out with Frank last Saturday night, and what a time I had!!! He tried to kiss me when we got home, and I had to use the Black Judo. Wow, I don’t know what got into him, but he tried hard but he didn’t succeed, not with me. I raced in the house and he came in after me. I put the hall light on and he turned it out, and I ran in the dining room and ran around the table and he chased me so I went in the living room and started making conversation with me mother and her company. They were playing cards so they didn’t pay much attention to me. So, we went back out in the hall and I told him he must go home, as it was late and he turned out the light again and I ducked and went back in the dining room, so he finally came to his senses and decided it was time to go home. So he was pretty pained that his planned maneuver didn’t work. Wow! What an end to an evening.
Also, thanks for the card. What did you cross out on it? If I ever had to get your address from that I would have been at a loss. They stamped the place and time all over it, and it was absolutely illegible.
Well, write soon, and I will too.
Your pal,
Jean
