Dear Jack,
How are you? Fine I hope. Madeleine is writing to Rockie and I thought it would be nice for both of you to receive a letter at the same time, how about that?
I am terribly sorry to have given you the impression that I had forgotten you, on the contrary, I think of you quite frequently. I don’t believe the ones at home have forgotten you. They are probably taking a breathing spell.
Now that the morning is all over with, I can spend more time writing to you. Do you like that?
We agree on one thing (algebra).
Again we have something in common, our tempers etc. This gets more interesting as time goes on.
Sorry to hear women have mistreated you so, but please remember that there are as many nice girls as there are bad, so cheer up.
The girl you want does not need to be searched for. She’s always under your nose without your realizing it. I’m taking that chance. So stop looking and keep writing. Please do not think me brazen or forward in the above paragraph. I just want to help you.
Your letters are very interesting and not confusing at all. I enjoy them very much. “Please stop criticizing your own letters”!!!
Speaking of pictures please forgive a little delay. I haven’t any at the present but I promise that you’ll have one in the very near future. Thanks a lot for the picture of yourself and Rockie. Well I must close for now but I’ll be writing again soon. As often as possible.
Sincerely
Cecile
P.S. Please send a very, very, nice photo of just you.
