Dear Bro,
A
most welcomed surprise - your letter of the 12th - thanks chum, keep
it up! Say, that could not have been your own personal paper - could it? What a
delicious aroma - Chanel #5 - an sumpin!
Wow
- we’ve finally been able to break through 3000 miles of ether and we’re now
receiving mail call - M.C. - Spencer Tracy some surprise! Good old yankee music - as you would say - bea-u-ti-ful.
You
deserve “congrats” fellow and here they are - from jolly old E.T.O. Yes, I’m
behind bars but I can’t get away from them and back into civilian clothes too
fast to suit me.
Now,
as a matter or interest it is exactly 2315 - You can see how long it has taken
me to scribble just these few short paragraphs - one of those things.
Surely
hope your Dad is well and kicking around by now. Tell mom Lucy hello for me and
regards to the rest of the Lucy’s. Yes! More action.
0025
- Time has flown as you see - now I’m getting sleepy so I think I shall get
some good old G.I. Java. Boy, that stuff really puts a lining in your old belly
- Just like drinking hot turpentine does the trick though and that’s all that
matters. Say, are you familiar with a food known as “spam”? We are! Morning,
noon and night - gee whiz - or hell - where does it all come from - don’t you
grow any more “just plain pigs or cows over there”? No joking - it’s okay and the boys really do a masterful job of dressing
it up - it’s sorta a base for at least a dozen dishes
- all of them tops. We are fed like kings – probably better!
This
is just about all I can talk about tonite. Please
keep dropping me a line when you get the chance. Take care of yourself and your
sis - she means a lot to me - so you and Corky have gotta
stand by till I can get back and take over.
Luck and Cheer,
Jimmy
