Dear Ma,

I’m going to drop you a line before I hit the sack.  As of yet, I haven’t had an awful lot of work to do, but I guess things will really start rolling next week.  The president of the glee club mentioned something about getting what’s left of the group together and doing a little singing this summer.  That will be OK with me.

I got your letter today, and I hope you have a most fine vacation.  But, don’t worry about me coming home any time soon, maybe not for five weeks.  I had a change in my schedule so that now I have a class at 1:20 to 2:20 pm on Saturdays.  That’s Saturday afternoon ya know.  I guess some people have all the luck.  So, don’t bother about the camera, but I would appreciate my tennis racket.  My boxes came OK, no damage done at all.  Thank you very much.  I’ll try to get home when I can.

Also, the Vet’s Administration informed us that as things stand now, we won’t get a check July firs, but we’ll get two of them August first.  And, as I am now down to 1.20 dollars, please ask Pop to deposit 25 of his dollars in my checking account as soon as possible, to be repaid to him as soon as I get my check.

I got a nice letter from Bet, as you probably know, and I sure hope this RH Business turns out OK.  It can be mighty dangerous to both she and the baby if her and Jim’s RH factors don’t jibe right.  I guess everything will be OK.

I didn’t see Paul and Charlotte for about the first three days, and now I run into them almost constantly.  Seems like Paul’s professor doesn’t seem too eager about holding classes.  Up until now, he’s done a lot of nothing.  They’re really having a time at the place they’re living in.  The land lady won’t let them have any electrical appliances at all, afraid of having fusses.  They also say that the place is awful noisy, but they’re just gonna have to get used to that.

Oh, I got the letter that Betty forwarded to me; it was from Bill, some s16 pages.  What an epistle, he did darn good at Connell, he’s a smart guy.  Most of his courses are like ours, but we take them at different times.

Well, this was supposed to be just a write.  Everything is OK and I’m feeling better now than I have felt the whole school year.  I think this civilian life agrees with me very well.  Goodnight.

Love to all,

Bro
