Dear Mom,
Got your
letter the other day, so am answering it now.
I’m sorry if I’m not writing so regular as usual. I always plan to write one a week anyway.
How is
everything going? I suppose Grant is
busy now. Sorry to hear that Faye is
ill. Maybe she will perk up with a
change of climate.
We had a
company party the other night. I had a
pretty good time. We had some Land Army
girls come. Guess they are going to
invite us to a party of theirs.
It has been
raining quite a little here for the last week or so. Seems like the autumn rains
have set in.
Do you hear
much from Virgil these days? I haven’t
heard from him for a long time.
Well, guess
I will close and go to the show.
Love,
John
