Dear Mom,

Got your letter today and thought that I had better answer it.

How is everything going with you all the days? Over here things are about as usual. The weather has been real cold lately, but the last two or three days have been quiet warm.

Another fellow and I went to town the other night with our bikes and some son of a b____ stole them on us. Wish could find them, but would be like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Well it won’t be long till this old winter will be over now, will it? It will seem good to have warm weather again.
