Dear Mom, France

Got your letter today and the other one day before yesterday.

Talk about ice and snow. we don’t have any over here. Did have some mud last winter but it has mostly dried up now.

Say, Mom, do you think that you could pick up some standard size leads for an eversharp pencil. I am about out and can’t seem to find any over here.

No. I don’t need any writing material or V-mail. We get our V-mail free.

Well, guess I’ll close down for now. Let me know if you get the perfume OK.
