Dear Billy,
When I sat down to write to you yesterday it was to
thank you so much for the lovely Xmas gift and I was so mixed up with Harold
just leaving I sealed the letter without mentioning the lovely gift, I guess
I’m just getting old and of course my mind is kind of upset with the dreadful
news on the radio and all, they are talking so much about being in Paris now it
just mixes me up.
Well Bill I sure just love the navy blue sweater you
gave me for Xmas and wish to thank you so much for it, I knew you will like it
when you see it.
Dad will be writing to you soon thanking you for his
Xmas gift which I know was greatly appreciated. Again thanking you.
Love,
Mommy
