Dear Bill,

Just received your letters and all is well. I’ll send you a couple of rolls of 828 as soon as I get it from Cartman. It takes about a month after I give them your letter. Add that to the 6 to 8 weeks delivery and this war will be over before you get it; why it may even chase you home.

That Hawaiian has given me more trouble. His dancing is good and I, of course, asked her to come to the club and dance again. She accepted but then heard about a St. Patrick’s days party and wanted to come to it. So I had to say, yes. Result I had a Hawaiian girl to a St. Patrick’s Days party. She entered into the spirit of things fine, even got a half a load on and caused me to get a few more grey hairs. From now on somebody else is going to take care of Hawaiian dancers. I’m through. (P.S. your friend Joe Messins is now a captain and back in Infantry.)

There has been some circulars on J.A. school recently requesting men for OCS and officers to transfer from other branches To J.A. several of the officers here got after me to apply again. I refused and said that two years ago I wanted to go to that school, now I don’t and they would be doing me no favor to accept me for it. I figure come V-E day and I’ll be a civilian.

  Harry.
