Dear Bill,

Well I’ve been playing a little golf recently and I might add that may 3 year lay off hasn’t done my game any good, my score was 118.  However one shot was so perfect that it made the whole thing a success.  Here is the set up.  On the left side of the Fairway there was a very large tree, about 60-70 yds from the Green.  I land about 15 to 20 yds from the tree with the tree between my ball and the green.  It was impossible to shoot over the tree and if I went to the right or left I would miss the Green, so to avoid taking 2 shots it would be necessary for me to go to the left of the tree and slide into the green as go to the right of it and hook into the Green.  If I went to the left and didn’t slice I’d have been in such a mess that I’d have taken 10 shots to get into the Green.  So I decided to go to the right and hook.  Well that ball made the most beautiful curve you ever saw in your life, went around the tree and landed on the Green about 3 feet from the flag.  The most perfect golf shot I ever made, bet if I spent a week behind that tree cutting golf balls I couldn’t duplicate it.

Seems funny writing a whole v-letter on a golf shot but there’s nothing else much to write about.  Hope the camera and film arrive OK.  I still have 10 left from your check.  If you don’t want more film shall I deposit it in your bank account as is there anything else you want?
