Dear Albert:
I received
your letter last week and just have time now to scribble a few lines.
How are you
doing? Everyone is fine and hope the
same with you.
I am now in
Study Hall as one of the teacher’s isn’t here.
This is my Second one this morning and I have one also this
afternoon. I’m going to get caught up in
my letter writing if it is the last thing I do.
The weather
has been pretty miserable lately. With
all the rain we have had, we ought to have sunshiny weather for a month.
Now that
the war is over, and letters aren’t censored, you still don’t tell me anything
about your trips? What island are you at
now? Do you think you will soon hit the States?
Let’s hope so anyway.
We haven’t
heard from my one brother for four weeks now and Mother received two of her
letters back. We know he is on his way
home but he should at least have hit the States by now. I’m so anxious to see him. I really can’t wait.
Last
Saturday night Jennie R. called me from
Well, Al I
better be closing now.
I have some more letters I should be writing.
Hope
to see you soon
Love
