Hi Chief,

Well I am now located in Camp Gordon, Georgia- so when you write don’t forget the change of address.

Well Chief ol Keed, your bad boy is coming to see you very soon. Yes I’ll get a 15 days furlough in about two weeks and if you don’t mind I planned to stop off on my way home this time so if it is possible could you let me know where you could hide the key so that I could make myself comfortable until you get home from work. If possible I’ll let you know first when I arrive.

Gosh Chief we had a lovely four-day trip from Tennessee down here. It took us two days to cross the Great Smokies Mountains. Boy is it ever beautiful up in those mountains. At one spot we were traveling above the clouds- we were traveling at about 7000 ft elevation for quite a while. We also have seen a lot of bears.

Well Chief I’ll have to be signing off so please write and let me know if it will be alright for be to stop off. Hoping to see you ever soon.
