Hi Chief Honey,
At present I have nothing to do- so thinking about you so much as I do, I thought I had better drop you a few kisses.
Our Battalion was in parade yesterday in Augusta. It was an army parade to promote the sale of war bonds. It was a swell parade- everything went along swell. Yes even my motorcycle squad done alright. It’s a very hard job to ride a cycle in a parade especially when you have to go 3 miles per hour and keep your feet off the street- but we did it.
How do you like this stationary- some stuff isn’t it? These are two of my hangouts [Chuck draws an arrow to the Sports Arena and Interior Post Exchange that pictured on side of the letter], another one is the movies- we have eight large movie theaters here in our area and they are showing movies that are just relieaced (spelled wrong but you know what I mean.)
Well Honey, I hope to see you the night of the 24th or 25th- boy it will be sweet to see you again. I just hope it is cold as heck when I get there, then when you and I get together the temperature will be just right- don’t you think so? I sure would like to hear some of your new records. I’ll bet I can still beat you in a game of rummy. I’ll bet I can also out tickle you. Remember those tickling sessions we use to have- fun weren’t they.
Say Chief, when I come up- how about making me some of my favorite dessert- namely chocolate pudding with whipped cream on it. Boy it makes me hungry just to think about it.
Well Honey I guess I had better sign off. Write soon.
Lots of Love and Kisses
Your Chuck
