Darling, darling, darling! Remember what’s going on when
I say it three times like that?! Needs! Does too—drastic! It’s just a year and
one day since we met. Oh, honey, what a wonderful full year, wasn’t it? I feel
much better today, and am sure the trouble was Ethel time only. Jamie is fine,
and very active. The Olds, is home again, all freshly greased etc., and tires, battery
and everything checked. All okay, too. As soon as I can afford it, I will buy
’44 licenses for it. I didn’t go to Doctor Kelly today after all, as he was out
of town. Have an appointment for Saturday so I’ll rig up The Little Bottle
again, tomorrow night! I’m using a new one now—your old Malted Milk candy we
bought in Taunton. The plumber is coming tomorrow morning to fix the sink
faucet again—the cold water drips this time. Jamie says “God bless my daddy”
and I say I love you, dearest, always, completely and forever. Keep me in your
heart—you are in mine.
Your
wife,
Effie
