Dearest wonderful husband:
The ache of missing you just isn’t getting any less! Oh, my darling – what we had was so heavenly and I want you home again! I hope you are missing me like this, too, because then we’ll be drawn even closer together then by our love. I shouldn’t write you “Blue” letters, but I can’t help it, dear. Excuse. We’ve had a fairly busy day, what with our week-end marketing and so forth. Took Jelopp down to the garage to have her footbrake repaired – it was too loose. It is very cold tonight and how I would like a darling warm sweetie to snuggle up to! I heard today that another plane with crew of eight is missing from Westover, due to a snow storm. It was bound for Syracuse. It was a bomber, I think. No mail today except a magazine. I will be so much happier when I hear from you! Pup is all well again. We, too.
All my love,
Your wife
