Darling husband: Today I
sent you a Cable, and the man says you will have it in three or four days. Where
you are seems horribly far away, but if we can communicate with each other in
only 3 or 4 days I guess it isn’t so far. Hope you have some letters
from me by now, dear. I don’t dare use your new A.P.O. number until I hear it
from you, so shall keep writing to the old one. I will cable you again- pretty
often! You do, too. Tonight for my baff I shall begin
on another cake of that delicious Apple Violepp soap
you gave me for Ciss miss. Thank you again for it,
honey dear. I bought myself a new blouse today to celebrate hearing from you,- white, wif a ruffle for a
collar, and a ruffle down the front outlined in red, white, & bwoo stiches. You will like it. It’s size 36! You’ll
like them, too! Oh, I’m a bad pie! Goodnight, sweetie, here’s a kiss for
the kiss place, & one for your dear mouth too. All my
love forever, your wife, Big Dirl.
